Katy is a lifelong Floridian. She relocated from Orlando to Fort Myers in order to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. While at FGCU, she majored in Legal Studies and was a member of the Honors Program. She graduated with High Honors. She then relocated to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and graduated with Honors in 2019. While at UF Law, she participated in the Family Law Advocacy Clinic, where she represented individuals in Family Law matters and realized her passion for Family Law. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
Katy joined Bogle Law to practice Family Law and Criminal Defense. Prior to joining Bogle Law, Katy gained valuable courtroom and trial experience by serving as an Assistant Public Defender for two years in Lee County. In that role she handled hundreds of cases, including Domestic Violence, DUI, Petit Theft and Battery. She took several cases to a full jury trial and secured Not Guilty verdicts for her clients. Katy is passionate about defending her client’s constitutional rights and holding the State of Florida to their high burden of proof. Katy’s case management philosophy is to start preparing a defense on day one and to preserve her client’s right to a speedy trial. This prevents loss of evidence and holds the State to their burden, often resulting in a more favorable result for her client. Attorney Napolitan is a member of the Florida Assocation of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).
