A Message from Tauna
I believe in hard work, thorough investigations, meticulous preparation and honesty. When my client’s life is on the line, no stone should be left unturned. Driven by this guiding light, I laid the foundation of the firm, aspiring to unravel the authentic narratives of every case and every individual I stand for. When the stakes are sky-high, our approach ensures no stone remains unturned.
Serving as a defense attorney and a proud member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, I protect the fundamental rights outlined in our Constitution. When the powerful get it wrong or overstep their bounds, I am your shield and your sword in the legal fight. The defense attorney is the only attorney that is mentioned in the Constitution (6th Amendment), I cherish the role of ensuring the right to counsel for every accused individual and the right to confront one’s accuser.
My initiation into trial work began at Stetson University College of Law in 1998. Renowned for its exceptional trial advocacy program, frequently acknowledged by U.S. News and World Report, Stetson provided a fertile ground for honing my skills through numerous mock trials on the 2001 Stetson Trial Team across Florida and the country. My post-graduation journey led me to the role as an Assistant State Attorney in the 6th. Judicial Circuit. I was appointed to the position in 2001 and served until 2007. Over a span of six transformative years, I navigated a spectrum of cases, ranging from misdemeanors to heinous felonies, including DUIs, Domestic Battery, Theft, Sexual Battery, and Murder. This immersive experience granted me a profound understanding of the inner workings of prosecution and law enforcement, crystallizing my grasp of arrest determinations and the nuances of probable cause.
Venturing to expand my horizons, I transitioned into the private realm, aligning with a prominent Tampa firm where I deepened my experience in family law, criminal defense, and civil litigation.
October 2007 heralded a significant chapter. I opened my private practice in Punta Gorda, Charlotte County. It was just me as a solo practitioner back then but today, Bogle Law stands tall, a flourishing firm backed by four seasoned attorneys and a dedicated team that mirrors my passion for justice. In 2023, I had the honor of attending a week-long CLE training organized by the esteemed Trial Lawyers College, based in Sheridan, Wyoming. This nationally acclaimed non-profit boasts a diverse faculty comprising esteemed top level attorneys and other professionals from across the nation, selflessly dedicating their time to nurture their peers. This enriching event unfurled in Oklahoma, adding to my repertoire of knowledge and skills.
Our experience spans criminal defense, domestic violence, family law, and civil disputes. With an unwavering commitment to continual learning and courtroom skill, Bogle Law, P.A. stands as a beacon of hope, advocacy, and justice.
In my spare time, I ride and train horses. You can learn a lot about behavior and how to get results from working with horses.
