Katy Napolitan, Esq. Protecting You and Your Family Through Life’s Toughest Moments

Katy is known for her calm presence in the courtroom and her ability to effectively advocate against opposing counsel in high-stakes, high-conflict matters. Whether in a contested family law hearing or a criminal jury trial, she remains focused under pressure and dedicated to advancing her client’s position. Her courtroom experience allows her to anticipate challenges, prepare strategically, and deliver persuasive arguments when it matters most.

Katy joined Bogle Law to practice both Family Law and Criminal Defense. She handles a broad range of criminal defense matters, including juvenile offenses, misdemeanors, and serious felony cases. In her family law practice, Katy regularly represents clients in divorce proceedings, including matters involving equitable distribution, alimony, parenting plans, and timesharing disputes. She also prepares and reviews prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, offering clear and strategic guidance to help clients protect their interests before and after marriage. Her background allows her to effectively represent clients whose legal matters may span both family and criminal law—such as cases involving domestic violence, custody, or juvenile-related issues. She is also known as one of the team’s strongest legal researchers—an asset that supports her ability to craft well-reasoned strategies and persuasive motions in complex cases.

A lifelong Floridian, Katy relocated from Orlando to Fort Myers to attend Florida Gulf Coast University, where she majored in Legal Studies and was a member of the Honors Program. She graduated with High Honors. Katy then earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law, graduating with Honors in 2019. While at UF Law, she participated in the Family Law Advocacy Clinic, where she represented individuals in family law matters and discovered her passion for helping families navigate the legal system. She also served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy.

Prior to joining the firm, Katy served as an Assistant Public Defender in Lee County for two years. In that role, she gained extensive courtroom and trial experience—handling hundreds of cases and trying multiple cases to verdict, including charges such as Domestic Violence, DUI, Petit Theft, and Battery. She successfully secured Not Guilty outcomes for her clients at trial.

Katy is widely respected for her ability to listen attentively to her clients and explain complex legal issues in a way that empowers them to make informed decisions. Her clients value her clarity, compassion, and steady guidance through difficult legal situations.

She is passionate about protecting her clients’ constitutional rights. Her case management philosophy emphasizes early and thorough preparation, including preserving the right to a speedy trial—an approach that often leads to more favorable outcomes.
