With a rich blend of international and domestic legal experience, Mabel Verona brings exceptional dedication and insight to family law at Bogle Law. Educated at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, she earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Law, along with a foundational Juris Doctor degree from the University of Havana. Fluent in Spanish, Attorney Verona is well-equipped to serve clients from diverse backgrounds.
Attorney Verona began her legal career as an attorney in Cuba, where she practiced real estate law and contract management. In this role, she served as an In-House Legal Advisor, providing guidance on legal issues and drafting contracts for the tourism and real estate sectors. After relocating to the U.S., she built on her legal foundation with hands-on experience in family law.
During her legal education in the United States, Attorney Verona honed practical skills through the Child and Family Service Clinic at UMKC, advocating for clients in child custody, adoption, and paternity cases as a Rule 13 Certified Legal Intern. Additionally, she interned at the Hope House Domestic Violence Shelter, providing critical legal support and courtroom advocacy for survivors of domestic violence. She also gained valuable judicial insight as a Judicial Intern for Judge Beth Phillips at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, developing strong research, writing, and advocacy skills through direct engagement in court proceedings.
Before fully transitioning to family law, Attorney Verona worked in customer service and administrative roles in the finance sector, serving as a Loan Coordinator at North American Savings Bank, where she assisted clients through complex loan processes.
Outside of work, Attorney Verona enjoys staying active through dance and Zumba classes, where she connects with her passion for music and movement. She also has a background as a theater instructor, adding creativity and expressiveness to her legal practice. Attorney Verona is committed to supporting families through life’s most pivotal transitions with empathy, skill, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of families in the legal system.
